Boxes (2017) -- Beginning at 1.5 ft. x 2 ft. these box paintings are the scale of dresser drawers, a compression of bodily scale. These sculptural paintings explore what it means when a support is preconceived. The compositions are based upon the inflection of space which is created by the concavity of the frame. I've lately been fascinated with color interaction and projections of color and light referenced from interior spaces.
